Your image gets printed directly onto a sheet of 1/16" thick aluminum. The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. A small shaft of light illuminated a quiet corner of my bedroom one morning, and there in the corner, was part of my cat Morgan, spotlighted by the most lovely bit of sunlight... only a small part of her could be seen in the darkness, but it was enough to catch my attention and emphasize how regal she looked. I immediately went to work trying to capture the moment, and this oil pastel resulted. The original is in a private collection but High quality prints are available from Fine Art America.
